Interview of Pasquale Cangiano with a special gift.

Today I'm going to share with you guys the latest interview of  Pasquale Canganio. He is an admin of the group Caungro English. I've asked him questions about his English learning journey and much more. Plus there's something special for English learners at the end of the interview. So without delay, let's get started.

How did you learn English?

Answer: I have learned a little English in the school when I was young, but it wasn't enough to be able to communicate, then ten years ago I took an English course, but it was almost the same. Honestly, I don't like learning English by reading boring textbooks.

How do you improve your English every day?

Answer: I try to improve my English every single day by watching English grammar videos on YouTube, watching movies, listening to the podcasts on my smartphone, anyway, I don't feel like I'm learning English, because I made it part of my daily life. To me, if you really want to get fluency, you should learn English in a natural way, like a baby does.

As an Italian speaker do you feel proud while speaking English?

Answer: Yes, of course! As an Italian native speaker, I feel proud to be able to speak this useful and beautiful language, to me is like to have a kind of power.

How do you manage your everyday life and caungro English?

Answer: Good question! I try to do my best to approve all the posts every day, sometimes I do while I work during the night shift, and when I have a day off.

There are almost 18k members in caungro English. What message would you like to give them to improve their English?

Answer: I can tell that: learning a second language is really difficult, maybe one of the most difficult thing to learn, and it takes time, passion, patience and a lot of effort! If you really want to learn English you must make it part of your life, and personality, what do I mean by that? I mean: pretend to live in an English speaking country, and surround yourself of English materials every day, for example, read the news, watch movies, listen to the radio, all your habits have to be in English, only in this way you can get confidence, and finally, LOVE ENGLISH.

What are your future plans related to English?

Answer: Honestly, I don't have any future plans, I have been learning English not because I want to get a better job, or for other reasons, I have been learning it, because I love it, and I want to use it as a great tool to communicate with people from all over the world.

Please let our audience know a little bit about Pasquale's everyday life schedule?

Answer: About my life, I can say that I spend the majority of my time by working as a security guard, then when I have some free time I try to practice my English skills, and stay with my family; it's a simple daily life, nothing special.

IF you have a chance to visit a country for free, what would it be?

Answer: Well, I would like to visit America, especially New York City.

What is the best way to find speaking partners?

Answer: To find a native English speaker as a partner is not simple, to do that you should have something in common, for example, I have found a few English native speakers on a website, it is called: "conversation exchange" I highly recommend it.

 Any message for English learners?

Answer: I feel to tell: DON'T LEARN ENGLISH JUST FOR GETTING A NEW JOB, BUT LOVE THIS USEFUL LANGUAGE! Lots of love.

Latest interview of Christian Saunders.

Here is the latest Interview of Sir Christian Saunders. He is one of the world best English teachers.
I have asked him 10 question about learning English. I hope you will enjoy this interview. There's something very special for you at the end of the interview.

Let's get started.

Question no.1: How can the nonnative English learners become fluent?Answer: There are no secrets to learn a language. Only lots of practice. So, you need to be very motivated, work hard, and have patience. If you focus on communication when you practice and not on technical things, then you will progress very quickly.

Question no.2: How to stop shyness and get confidence?

Answer:People are normally shy because they are afraid of making mistakes. But you need to realize that nobody really cares about your mistakes. They just want to communicate with you, and people can tolerate A LOT of mistakes before you have problems with communication.

Question no.3: What is the easiest way to enrich the English vocabulary?

Answer:The science tells us that reading is the best way to improve your vocabulary. People who read more have a bigger vocabulary. But it’s important to read things you understand, and you enjoy. Those two things are VERY important.

Question no.4: How much time is required for nonnative English learners to become a fluent English speaker?

Answer:It depends on how hard you work! Fluency is a very difficult word to define because lots of people have different ideas about fluency, but I think that if you work hard, you can have good basic conversations about a variety of subjects within 12 months. That is amazing! You will be able to speak to hundreds of millions of new people!

Question no.5:In this digital age how can we learn a new language without going physically to the traditional institutions?

Answer: The internet is a gift. A very special gift. We can find lessons, read books, listen to podcasts, watch videos, download apps, and find a speaking partner. You can simulate immersion at home! But please ENJOY IT!

Question no.6:  Please recommend 3 useful websites to improve English?

Answer:1:Youtube (you can find everything here) 2:sketchengine (a great website to learn words in context) 3:bookdepository (millions of books with free delivery)

Question no.7: : How can someone improve their English writing skills?

Answer: It’s very easy. You must sit down and write. And write more. And then write more. Good writing comes from practice. And that is true for native speakers and foreign learners.

Question no.8:What advice would you like to give to the world regarding learning English?

Answer: Stop studying and start communicating! We have forgotten the true meaning of language: to communicate!

Question no.9: Canguro English has become a prominent brand so what are your future plans related to English? Are you launching some English learning course in 2019?

Answer: In January I am releasing an English course with 36 lessons in conjunction with Fluentify. It will have more than 100 videos and lots of other content and activities. Very exciting! After that I want to continue to grow my audience and gain more influence, because influence is the only way to make change so that we can change the way the world learns English and more people can succeed!

Question no.10: Any tip for improving English listing skill?

Answer: Yes, listen more! A good teacher can teach you grammar, and give you motivation, but nobody can teach you listening. It’s a skill that comes with practice.

Here's the special gift for you guys. I know how tedious is it to learn English alone. I'm going to share 3 links of Whatsapp groups that you can join and find a speaking partner of your desired so what are you waiting for?

Here's how you can improve your English for free

Every time I get to ask a question. How can I improve my English? What course should I take and How much it will cost me? The simple answer is you don't need to spend a single penny and still you can become a fluent English speaker. Really? Yes, You can improve your English without spending a single penny and staying at your home. Please read the following tips:

English is one of the most important languages in the world. This beautiful language is everywhere as it is estimated that over 1 billion people are learning English worldwide at any one time. Here are key things that you should keep in mind while learning English.

  • Know why you want to learn English?

Before you get started, you should know why you want to learn English. Is it because you want to go abroad? or do you want to communicate with people from all around the world?
Because learning English becomes a piece of cake when you have a reason.

  • Set a realistic goal

This is the most important step that you have to take. You should set a realistic goal. For example your goal could be to speak English fluently in 6 months. The most important benefit of having a goal is that it gives you motivation.

  • Make a commitment

Once you have a goal, the next step is to make a commitment and stick to that goal. Learning English requires a lot of motivation and will. When you are committed to your goal you are going to achieve it.

  • Trust yourself that you can be good at English
I know that it is difficult to believe that your English can be good but believe me  anyone can be good at English, and you can be too. I know that English is not your mother tongue and you don't have English native speakers to talk with in your surroundings. The fact is that Race, Age or Gender doesn't  matter at all. As long as you are willing to learn English, have motivation and have a positive attitude towards learning English, English is very easy.

  • Don't care about what other people think

Most of the people give up learning English because they are shy. They don't speak English because other people may think of them as being a show off or because others say their English is not good. Don't become a victim of others behavior towards you. Don't let what others think stop you becoming a fluent English speaker. Take every chance to speak English and one stay consistent in your journey. At the end of day, the thing that matters is your struggle.

  • Have fun learning English

"People rarely succeed unless they have fun in what they are doing." -Dale CarnegieMake it fun to learn English and you will  not get bored every time you learn English. It will lead you to have a good grip over English. If you are not having fun learning English, you are not learning the right way.

  • Enrich your vocabulary

“The limits of my language are the limits of my universe.”
― Goethe
This is something that you can even compete the native English speaker as well. We've been living in 21st century and the world has become a global village. Today you have access to the Internet, you have the access to almost everything that you can think about and so does the vocabulary. There are many methods that you can use to enrich your vocabulary. You can know the meaning of the word in your native language, hear the correct pronunciation , know that synonyms and antonyms of a word just by typing it in the Google for free. you can use 1 word method in which you have to learn a new word in a day and at the end of the year, you'll have approximately  365 words in your mind. Bear in mind that you have to use the new vocabulary in your every day otherwise you'll forget it soon and you'll remain the same. I'm posting a link to 2 authenticate online dictionaries that you can use to learn new vocabulary.
  1.  Oxford dictionary:

One of the fastest way to learn English is watching English movies and TV shows. In the beginning  you'll not be able to understand everything.  With the passage of time you will become familiar with the English used by native English speakers and it will be fun.
If you find it difficult to understand you can switch on the captions and slow down the speed on YouTube while watching a movies or anything else in English but you must keep it up.

  • Listen English podcasts, songs and Radio
It is of vital importance to hear a variety of English accents as It won't only familiarize you to native English accents but also it'll also enhance your speaking. you can hear English songs, English podcasts and English  radio e.g for British English   you can hear to BBC radio and for  American English you  can hear to CNN radio.

  • Read English newspapers, articles and blogs

Read English newspapers, articles and blogs. Read whatever you love. Make reading your daily habit and it will also nurture your mind. It will not only help you to become a good English writer but also it will increase your knowledge because

“A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies . . . The man who never reads lives only one.” – George R.R. Martin

  • Start speaking English with your Friends and Family

  • Don't think that they are non-native English speaker. Find someone who is willing to learn English and speak fluently. Start speaking, be it home or office. Speak as much as you can and it will make you a proficient English speaker.
